A tourist guide is someone who points out the way and leads others on a trip or tour. Generally, a tourist guide will work at a specific location, city or province. In some cases, guides qualify to guide throughout an entire country. I am just a Provincial Tourist Guide and focus mainly on the Western Cape.

Tour guides play an important role in creating a positive image of our country, an undertaking that has cumulative spin offs for the economy. Critical as they are, it is sad to note that the importance of Tour Guides and their role in the economy is often overlooked. Tour Guides are geared towards service excellence, the industry, and are both reliable and professional.

Igniting the spark and storytelling... As a tourist guide, I must instill the history, geology, literature, custom, landscape of a place into 'bite size packages' or stories which can be understood and grasped by all, and which engages the interest of a visitor right from the start and right up until the end.
